The event is in line with the strategic plan of the Directorate of Human Resources in Sharjah to provide special exclusive services to the employees of Sharjah government and allow them to make the most of the discounts offered by the companies taking part in Waffer Programme. The services include deals on auto financing, sales, aftersales, maintenance as well as car insurance and accessories, in addition to a number of services provided by medical centres that have recently tied up with Waffer. During the event, Al-Futtaim Trading Enterprises Company displayed a selection of vehicles and offered the employees test drives to showcase their designs, features, upgrades as well as the highest technologies and security systems used to ensure driver comfort. The company offered the best car replacement deals to the employees and a team was present at the exhibition to greet them and explain about the discounts they can avail of through the Programme. Chairman of the Directorate Dr. Tareq Sultan bin Khadim said: “Under the constant directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Member of the Federal Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, the Directorate seeks to provide special incentives and services to the government employees in line with its strategic plan. As such, it is keen on selecting companies that offer maximum benefit and competitive prices to government employees through Waffer Programme to ensure employees’ wellbeing and help them to achieve the highest levels of satisfaction and happiness.” Jawaher Seif Al Ode, Director of Events and Community Activities at the Directorate and Head of Waffer Programme, said that the Programme has targeted over 260 local, regional and international companies and institutions in the past four years with more than 50 newcomers each year. The companies and institutions on board the Programme cover more than 20 fields of services and goods and extend exclusive deals to the Sharjah government employees. She added that a host of exhibitions and activities are being organised to introduce the government employees to the benefits and offers available to them through Waffer. The event saw the participation of Sharjah Insurance Company, the Creative Touch Auto Accessories and Damas Medical Centre, all of which have recently joined Waffer initiative.
